We love autumn; wrapped up warm in our new scarfs and gloves, kicking about in the fallen leaves. We’ve been talking about our favourite trees for autumn colour here in the office, and we just can’t agree.
Alice loves the vibrant colour and star shaped leaves of Liquidamber (seen above – apparently Liquidamber ‘Festival’ is the one to go for), Oli is a traditionalist and likes a classic Japanese Acer, but I’m rather partial to the Katsura tree (it’s leaves smell of candyfloss as they fall – how cool is that!).
It seems the only way to settle it is with a conker fight.

Nice choices, although I’m a bit partial to a Parrotia.
Agreed. They offer a real variety of colour!
